Classes for children
Children
General physical development and basic technique, in a form matched to the age and ability of the group.
We run children's classes differently from adult groups. The basis is how well the child controls its own body. Combat sports technique comes in gradually, once there is something to build it on.
The session has a repeating structure, and that is deliberate. The child knows what to expect and does not have to settle into the situation from scratch every time.
Competing is for children who want it themselves and are ready for it. It is not a condition of taking part, but we do prepare and support children who are ready to compete.
